In 2007 BCI partnered with Sterling Construction Group to construct an elder living center in the Core Cities neighborhood of southwest Detroit. The 88 unit apartment complex provides a quality living environment for the residents.

Collaborations and Partnerships

1. CDAD- BCI has been a long time member of the city-wide trade association for community development corporations, CDAD (Community Development Advocates of Detroit).

2. SDDC- BCI participates in a development collaborative of all the community development and social service non-profit organizations in southwest Detroit, SDDC (Southwest Detroit Development Collaborative).
