Deputy Director
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Deputy Director to work closely with the Executive Director in managing and supporting the daily operations, strategic planning, and community engagement efforts of our nonprofit organization.
The Deputy Director will assist in ensuring the organization’s programs and services are effective, efficient, and aligned with the mission, while also contributing to fundraising efforts and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Support: Collaborates with the Executive Director to oversee day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring all programs run smoothly and effectively. Assists in the implementation of organizational strategies and policies.
• Program Management: Supports the development and execution of programs that align with the mission and strategic goals of the organization. Ensures programs meet community needs and organizational standards.
• Financial Oversight: Assists in managing operational budgets, prepares regular financial reports, and helps track performance against financial goals. Works closely with the Executive Director on the annual budget process, forecasting, and ensuring financial
accountability.
• Fundraising and Community Engagement: Supports the Executive Director in developing and executing fundraising strategies. Cultivates relationships with current and potential donors, community partners, and key stakeholders. Organizes community engagement events to promote the organization’s visibility and mission.
• Staff Leadership and Development: Assists in managing staff, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Works to ensure staff are motivated, empowered, and aligned with the organization’s goals.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepares and delivers accurate reports on operational performance, fundraising outcomes, and community impact. Analyzes performance trends and assists in making recommendations for improvement.
• Strategic Planning and Implementation: Supports the development of the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. Works with the Executive Director and senior management to implement strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across departments.
• Compliance and Audits: Assists in managing organizational audits, compliance with funding requirements, and maintaining accurate records for reporting purposes.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in nonprofit management or program administration.
• Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and community engagement.
• Experience in budget management, financial reporting, and operational oversight.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit policies, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Work Hours & Benefits:
• Full-time, salaried position.

• Salary: $65,000.00 – $67,000.00 per year (depending on experience)

Salary Range:
Starting at $40,000
Education Requirement:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Gerontology or related field
Language Requirement:
Must be Bilingual: English & Spanish
Experience Requirement:
Working knowledge of public benefits, local, state, federal benefits and other human service programs available to older adults.
